XMLPARSE
Applies to ✅ Open Source Edition ✅ Express Edition ✅ Professional Edition ✅ Enterprise Edition
The XMLPARSE()
function allows for explicit parsing of XML documents or elements for further processing, when implicit conversion from strings is not possible, or when it leads to more clarity.
SELECT xmlparse(document '<d/>') AS d, xmlparse(element '<e/>') AS e
create.select( xmlparseDocument("<d/>").as("d"), xmlparseElement("<e/>").as("e")) .fetch();
The result would look like this:
+------+------+ | d | e | +------+------+ | <d/> | <e/> | +------+------+
